Finding a Great Home in Brooklyn
My hubby and I managed to find a really nice home in Brooklyn. My husband is from Manhattan, and I am from Kansas, and we met while we were traveling for business in France.
We decided to get married and I moved to New York. We had been living in upper Manhattan for the bulk of our marriage, and even though we really liked our flat, we wanted to be able to get a home and move to Brooklyn. The houses in Brooklyn were terribly costly, so it took my husband and me about five years to be able to save up enough funds to get a down payment.
My husband and I went to Brooklyn often to look for different homes, and we managed to find two dazzling homes over three years ago. We put down offers for each of the houses, but sadly they were both not accepted. Both of the houses that we really liked ended up getting sold to others, and my hubby and I were very disappointed. We decided to wait another year and just keep our eyes open.
We got a call from our realtor and she informed us she had found the ideal home for us in Brooklyn. It was a four bedroom and it had two bathrooms and it also was going to be in the ideal neighborhood, because it wasn’t far from our jobs. My husband and I went and we took a look at the house and we loved it.
We were truly hoping that they’d accept our offer, and they actually did. We were going to be able to move to our new house in five months. The one small problem was that our lease at our old loft was going to be up after three months. We decided that we were going to find a NYC mini storage company to store our things. We found a company called storage NYC and we stored all of our things there and we stayed with my parents for a couple of months. Eventually we were prepared to move into our new house, and it was like a dream. We really love our home, because it is ideal for us and our growing family. It took us over seven year to be able to move into a place, but now that we’ve found a great house, my husband and I are so happy.
